Frequently Asked Questions

  • This is a living, breathing synthesis of many disciplines: somatic coaching, neuro-architecture, intuitive design, myth and ecology. It’s not therapy, and it’s not interior design—it’s something new.  An emergent field rooted in the ancient knowing that space and psyche are intertwined.

Traditional design and organizing methods often overlook the inner terrain, offering surface-level solutions that don’t address the deeper patterns. Meanwhile, therapy and coaching—while important—can leave out the vital influence of the spaces we inhabit. You can do years of inner work and still feel stuck, simply because the environment you live in is reinforcing the very patterns you're trying to shift.

This work bridges that gap and weaves them together. It's experiential, relational, and deeply personalized.

Sustainable change takes time. Without a structure that honors mind, body, and space together, most efforts fade. This work moves slowly and intentionally—one step, one corner, one nervous system cue at a time. In a world that is constantly overstimulating and pushes us ever forward—toward more, faster, better—we take a stand for slow. For rest. For simplicity.

    • You’re facing lifestyle or emotional challenges, and suspect your home may be quietly influencing your energy, choices, and sense of agency.

    • Your in a major life transition: divorce, loss, empty nesting, a new life role.

    • You’re highly sensitive, or perhaps neurodivergent, and sense that your environment could better support your peace, presence, and well-being.

    • You crave a home that feels like a sanctuary—not just a styled space.

    • You want your space to feel nourishing, calm, and aligned with your nervous system.

    • You’ve done deep inner work, but your home still echoes old patterns.

    • You feel overwhelmed by clutter, but organizing alone never seems to stick.

    • You've read the books, tried the systems—and still feel like your not getting any traction or momentum.

    • Your family needs rhythm and ease, not more tasks and charts.

    • You’re creative but scattered, and long for structure that supports your flow rather than stifling it.

    • You struggle to work well from your home office and want to feel focused and anchored.

  • Not at all. This work goes far beyond surface-level change. While your home will shift in tangible ways, and significant adjustments may occur- this is not about styling, redecorating, or chasing a picture-perfect aesthetic. Nor is it about having everything in a static type of organization. We seek an order and aesthetic that supports and reflects your uniqueness.

It’s about synthesizing your inner and outer world.  You won’t be told what to buy or how to style your home. Instead, you’ll be guided into deeper relationship with your surroundings. You’ll learn to sense, listen, and respond—to rearrange, release, and root—until your space begins to feel like a true ally and a natural reflection of your unique aesthetic.

  • No. You don’t need a large budget, an eye for design, or any new purchases to begin transforming your space. We start with what’s already around you—using simple, imaginative methods to shift your environment in ways that feel deeply supportive. This work is accessible to everyone, and it’s ultimately about remembering how to make your home feel like a true reflection of you.

That said, if you do have the resources and feel inspired to purchase something new or change other design elements, you absolutely can- but its never required.  Often a trip to a thrift store, a gallon of paint or re-arrangement of an area is all you need.

This is a process of connecting, refining and re-imagining your existing canvas to reflect more of who you are now.  You may even find you need much less than you thought.

At its core, this work is not about consumption, but about authenticity, resonance, and cultivating a feeling of being at home.

  • Clients often share the following experiences as they move through the work:

    • Surprise at the Power of Their Home: Many clients never realized how deeply their home environment affects their mental and emotional states.

    • Empowered & Informed: After even one session, clients feel empowered to pay greater attention to the “relational field” of their home—how objects, people, and energy interact within their space.

    • Quick Shifts: Powerful, tangible shifts occur quickly—often within a few sessions—resulting in a new sense of ease and calm within the home.

    • Feeling Seen & Validated: Clients feel deeply seen, heard, and validated through the process, knowing their journey is unique but also supported with deep empathy.

    • Increased Resilience & Capacity: Clients notice an increase in their resilience, confidence, and capacity to handle daily life as their home becomes a regulated, supportive environment.

    • Family Harmony: A newfound harmony often emerges within the family home, with a clearer sense of shared rhythm, organization, and peace.

    • Sense of Order & Ease: Clients report knowing where things are, what they need to prioritize, and a greater sense of ease around tending to their home as an act of self-care.

  • This work is not about square footage—it’s about presence, intention, and relationship. Whether you live in a single room, a small apartment, or share space with others, the same principles apply. In fact, smaller spaces often respond more immediately to subtle shifts.

We’ll work with what you already have—shaping even the smallest corners into sources of regulation, beauty, and genuine reflection.

  • The Somatic Home draws from many traditions—Feng Shui’s spatial wisdom, the sensory comfort of Hygge, the clarity of organizing systems, the grounding of holistic coaching, the embodiment of somatic practice, and emerging insights from neuro-architecture. But it is not any one of these on their own.

Most modalities focus on one layer: decluttering, decorating, mindset work. This work is wider. It unites all these elements with the distinct texture of your own life. This is an integrative approach that helps you shape your space to support your body, your rhythms, and your life in real, lasting ways.

Salt + Gold, like many of these concepts, isn’t exactly translatable—but once you experience it, you understand. It’s a feeling and a way of living that imbues your space with texture, richness, beauty, comfort, safety, creativity, your own style. It’s about treasuring what you love. About sacred order, a touch of whimsy, and a deep sense of being home.

  • When you enter a Somatic Home, you immediately feel it—a deep sense of ease. Your shoulders drop, your breath softens, and something within whispers, “I’m home.”

A Somatic Home is designed to support your nervous system, emotional well-being, and body connection. It’s a space where your senses feel held: soft textures underfoot, natural light spilling gently across the room, the calming scent of cedar or lavender, and the quiet hum of a space that’s deeply loved.

This home is not curated for show—it’s attuned to your inner rhythm. When your space aligns with your authentic values, it becomes a source of self-regulation, healing, and a richer daily life.

A Somatic Home is relational. Every object, surface, sound, and scent communicates with your whole being. It either calms and supports you, or it keeps you stuck in stress and overwhelm. By attuning to your body’s needs, a Somatic Home helps things fall into place naturally.

Perfection isn’t the goal—care is. Chaos, when acknowledged and tended, becomes part of the creative flow rather than a source of anxiety. As your life shifts, so does your space, and the key is how you relate to that change.

A Somatic Home reflects your heart and true needs. It resonates because its design comes from within. The objects, their arrangement, and the care you give them all signal safety, authenticity, and ease to your nervous system.

Texture, temperature, scent, light, and sound become your allies: soft blankets that encourage rest, lighting that flows with the day, quiet corners for stillness, music to ground you, and pathways that allow gentle movement from room to room.

Ultimately, a Somatic Home is a practice—an ongoing relationship with your space that fosters greater agency, authenticity, and wholeness in your body, your home, and your life.

  • Each session is guided by both Nicteha and Jessica, offering you the presence, skill, and care of a deeply attuned team.

Rather than working with a single coach, you’ll receive the focused attention of two practitioners — a dynamic that many clients find profoundly regulating- and unusual! The experience of being witnessed, acknowledged, and supported by a resonant team often brings about its own kind of healing. It offers a steady field of presence and co-regulation — a relational container that may have been missing in early life, or absent in your current support system.

Together, Nicteha and Jessica bring a rich, complementary blend of perceptual abilities, somatic expertise, design sensibilities, and intuitive insight. They collaborate in real time, weaving a field where the whole becomes much greater than the sum of its parts.

  • We use zoom as our primary online office space.  We have found working in this way is an impactful and potent way to dive into The Somatic Home modality and allows you to experience this work no matter where you are located on the planet.

Though this work is informed by interior design and similar modalities, it is not home design. We don't need to be in your physical space because our emphasis is You in your space.

As a duo, we attune to your home and your system in the same way we might do in person. We know that allowing people into the intimate space of your home can feel quite vulnerable, and working online actually titrates this. This puts you in the drivers seat and we can assess together when and what you want to share with us in your space. We have discovered that this format often leads to easier connection and although there is physical distance, trust and intimacy are built with great ease.

  • This work begins with you. Your own relationship to space, your body, and your deeper longings, has the power to ripple outward, often more than you’d expect. You don’t need everyone on board to begin. We focus on what you can influence—your room, your corner, your lifestyle, your attention. Shifting your own nervous system and small changes in your environment can create a palpable change in the field of the home and family system. Even if there are complex dynamics, others within the household often respond organically over time.

When home becomes the core of our lives again, is laid out and adorned with intention and consciously cared for, it becomes a source of deep safety and an accurate mirror of our true nature.

Why people seek us out . . .

Does one of these resonate with you?

  • You come home to overwhelm. The clutter, the tension, the unfinished corners—they speak louder than your intentions. Your space feels like another to-do list instead of a place to land.

You crave peace, but find yourself stuck in cycles: organizing that doesn’t stick, rhythms that never fully take root, environments that leave your nervous system buzzing instead of resting.

This work is for the parts of you that are tired of holding it all together.
It’s for the part of you that knows your home could be a sanctuary—if only it felt like one.

It’s not just about the space. It’s about how you feel in it, how it reflects you, and how it holds (or hinders) your well-being.

We help you create a home that feels like a true extension of your healing, not a place that keeps you stuck.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about care.

    And that changes everything.

  • The colors are right. The furniture is thoughtful. You’ve followed the inspiration, the books, the mood boards. And yet—your body doesn’t fully exhale when you walk in the door. Something is missing beneath the surface.

You’re craving more than just surface level design. You’re longing for depth.

For a space that doesn’t just look good, but feels right.

A home that meets you on a sensory level—where light, sound, scent, and texture are speaking the language of calm. Of clarity. Of coherence.

    This work bridges that gap.
It’s where thoughtful design meets the wisdom of the body.

We guide you in creating a home that is not just curated, but attuned—to your nervous system, your values, your rhythms.

Where every room becomes a soft place to land.

Where the beauty doesn’t perform—it supports.

This is design from the inside out.

    Sensorial. Somatic. Sincere.

  • You want a home that works—one that supports your focus, your rest, your way of moving through the world. But right now, it’s cluttered, disjointed, or just not quite working for you.

Maybe you've tried organizing. Maybe you've tried upgrading the furniture or setting up better systems. Still, something feels off. Your space isn't helping you—it’s quietly draining you.

This work isn’t about aesthetics for the sake of looks. It’s about designing a home that works for your nervous system, your values, your real life.

We help you create a space that feels calm, clear, and grounded.

Where every object has a place.

Where your mind can focus, your body can rest, and you can think more clearly.

No fluff. Just function, flow, and alignment.

Because your environment shapes your energy—and how you show up in your life.

Let’s make it a place that helps you show up better.

  • Your home should feel like a place where you can exhale—not just the backdrop for everyone else’s needs, routines, and chaos.

You’ve tried the organizing hacks, the Pinterest-perfect playrooms, the chore charts. And still, the overwhelm creeps in. The mess returns. The exhaustion lingers. Because it’s not just about systems—it’s about support. Nervous system support. Emotional support. Sensory support.

This work helps you create a home that doesn’t just function—it nourishes.

A space that meets your real, lived experience as a mother.

Where your body feels held, not constantly on alert.

Where your environment isn’t another source of stress, but a quiet ally in your well-being.

We help you design from the inside out—anchoring your home to rhythms that serve you too.

Because the heart of the home is not just what you give—it’s how you’re supported to receive.

You deserve a space that gives back.
